The International Vocational Education Standard Committee (IVESC) is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) in launching the Skills Pathway for Cybersecurity. Supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and the Association of Information Security Professionals (AiSP), this initiative sets new standards for cybersecurity training.

The Skills Pathway, inaugurated by Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing at the SkillsFuture Forum 2024, includes industry-relevant training programs leading to certifications for roles such as Cyber SOC Analyst, Cyber Incident Response Analyst, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, and Cyber Penetration Tester. Developed with input from an advisory committee of 13 founding employers, including CSA, Ensign InfoSecurity, and GovTech, the program aims to address the skills gap in cybersecurity.

IVESC has played a crucial role in ensuring that the courses meet international standards and align with industry needs. The initiative also supports mid-career professionals transitioning into cybersecurity roles, with financial assistance available through SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Sam Liew, President of SCS, stated, "Our collaboration with IVESC highlights our commitment to developing a skilled cybersecurity workforce in Singapore. This program ensures that our training meets global standards and addresses the industry's critical needs."

Tan Kok Yam, Chief Executive of SkillsFuture Singapore, added, “IVESC’s involvement in the Skills Pathway for Cybersecurity provides clear skills requirements for employers and supports career development for individuals seeking to enhance their career prospects.”
